Position Summary

The Retail Sales Associate at our Denver International Airport (DEN) kiosks and grab-and-go markets is a highly interactive, customer-facing role. Operating in a rapid travel environment, this individual serves as the welcoming face of our automated and micro-market spaces. The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for greeting travelers, keeping grab-and-go kiosks beautifully stocked and organized, and proactively assisting guests as they navigate our self-pay Point of Sale (POS) systems. Because this role directly drives terminal sales performance, it offers a dynamic compensation structure including hourly wages, tips, and commission milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Relations & Self-Pay Support

• Warm Welcome: Greet passing travelers warmly, project an approachable demeanor, and offer assistance to guests browsing the kiosk offerings.


• Self-Check-In Assistance: Actively guide and assist guests in utilizing the self-pay Point of Sale (POS) systems, ensuring clear transaction handling and answering any quick software questions.


• Troubleshooting: Monitor the self-checkout kiosks continuously to troubleshoot minor payment or scanning errors quickly, minimizing wait times for hurried travelers.

Kiosk Merchandising & Stocking

• Visual Appeal: Keep grab-and-go displays, beverage coolers, and snack shelves meticulously organized, clean, and styled according to brand guidelines.


• Product Replenishment: Restock sandwiches, salads, juices, and fresh pastries systematically throughout the shift to ensure the kiosk never looks depleted.


• FIFO Rotation: Check expiration dates diligently and practice strict FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation standards to provide guests with the freshest product.

Cleanliness & Maintenance

• Station Cleaning: Keep the kiosk counters, self-pay screens, glass displays, and surrounding floor space immaculate and sanitized.


• Inventory Monitoring: Communicate any immediate product shortages or tech glitches to the Shift Lead or Purchasing Manager proactively.

Qualifications

• Airport Badging: Must be able to successfully pass the required federal background screening and fingerprinting process mandated by Denver International Airport to secure an airport badge.


• Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or fast-casual hospitality is preferred but not required. PDF


• Tech-savvy enough to confidently navigate, guide others through, and troubleshoot basic self-pay touchscreen POS terminals.


• Energetic, friendly, and outgoing personality that loves engaging with a diverse public.


• Availability: Schedule flexibility to work weekends, evenings, early mornings, and holidays as needed to align with airport flight schedules.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires standing, walking, and moving between nearby airport storage and kiosk locations for extended periods of time.


• Must be able to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs to lift bins of fresh food and beverage items during routine restocking.
