A small, private retirement farm in Ocala, FL, is seeking a reliable, hands-on Property Manager/Horse Caretaker to live on-site and help with the farm's day-to-day care and upkeep.
The property has a small barn and will primarily house retired horses and broodmares/pregnant mares. This is an ideal position for someone comfortable around horses who enjoys property maintenance, outdoor work, and handling small repairs independently.
Responsibilities include:
Daily care and monitoring of retired horses and broodmares
Feeding, turnout, and general barn care
Mowing and maintaining approximately 50 acres
Basic fence maintenance and repairs
Handling minor repairs and general property upkeep
Keeping the barn and surrounding property clean, organized, and well maintained
Monitoring the property and addressing issues as they arise
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced and confident handling horses
Property, farm, or estate management experience preferred
Comfortable mowing and operating basic farm/property equipment
Handy and capable of completing minor repairs and fence work
Reliable, self-motivated, observant, and able to work independently
Looking for a long-term, live-in position
