The Revenue Cycle Representative II is part of the Patient Access Department and is a full-time role working approximately 80 hours per two-week pay period. This position includes weekend and holiday responsibilities. The Revenue Cycle Representative II serves as a welcoming first point of contact for patients while supporting registration, admissions, and revenue cycle processes. This role ensures accurate patient information, efficient workflow, and a positive patient experience through strong communication, organization, and customer service.
High school graduate or equivalent required
Excellent interpersonal, intrapersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Above average typing and computer skills required
Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance processes preferred
Strong organizational and prioritization skills in high-stress situations
Highly motivated with the ability to manage frequent interruptions and competing demands
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Experience with EPIC preferred
Serve as a welcoming presence in the registration area, providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors
Interview patients upon admission and accurately enter required demographic and insurance information into the system
Obtain necessary patient documentation and scan items such as ID cards, insurance cards, consent forms, and advance directives
Maintain departmental logs and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and other patient access functions as assigned
Answer telephones and manage incoming messages and requests professionally and efficiently
Assist patients with financial assistance applications, payment plans, and posting payments to patient accounts
Maintain strict confidentiality while ensuring accuracy and quality of work
Collaborate with team members to support efficient department operations and patient flow
Perform additional duties as assigned
