RF Test Lead

Gilat Wavestream, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilat, is a market leader in solid-state power amplifiers and innovative RF solutions. Gilat Wavestream provides advanced satellite communication technologies for mission-critical applications, serving defense, commercial, and mobility markets worldwide.

We are seeking an energetic, independent RF test team lead to aid in testing of our products. You will be responsible for testing our sub-assemblies and/or top-level systems based on requirements and specification as well as teaching/working with other members of the team.

This role will be a significant contributor and decision maker as we strive to drive growth in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with production control, engineering, quality, and other areas of production to ensure business goals are met. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager/supervisor.

Salary range: between 28-31 USA $ per hour

• Lead and supervise the RF Test team, ensuring performance, communication, and compliance with company policies.
• Support production goals by coordinating resources, maintaining quality standards, and meeting deadlines.
• Oversee RF testing, tuning, troubleshooting, and evaluation of production units.
• Manage test equipment calibration, maintenance, and test station setup.
• Drive process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and handling of failed units through rework and engineering review processes.

• 2-5 years of experience in RF testing or a related field, with leadership potential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and network analyzers.
• Strong understanding of RF theory and Ku, Ka, C, and X-band frequencies.
• Familiarity with electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, soldering tools, microscopes, etc.).
• Knowledge of ESD practices and electronic manufacturing environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
