Qualifications:
Education: Medical Degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Active New York State Medical License.
Experience: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology. Experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and managing rheumatic and autoimmune conditions.
Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive rheumatology consultation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Manage chronic rheumatic conditions for a geriatric/long-term care population.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Adhere to best practices and clinical guidelines in rheumatology.
