Job Title: RN - Emergency Room (Nights)

Location: Yuma, AZ

Department/Unit: Emergency

Shift: 12-hour nights

Salary: $80,000 - $130,000

Job Summary:

Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking for a skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Yuma, AZ. This position offers hiring incentives, relocation assistance, and temporary housing for up to 3 months. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) critical care experience and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on established protocols.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive treatment.
Monitor and manage patients with various emergency conditions, including trauma, STEMI, and strokes.
Administer medications and perform procedures as required.
Coordinate with other departments for diagnostic tests and specialty consultations.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and health management.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an Emergency Room setting with Trauma Level I or II experience within the past 2-3 years. Candidates with only Level III experience will not be considered.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred

Skills:

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Common Diagnoses: Experience with gunshot wounds and stabbings is a bonus.

Facility Details:

Trauma Level: Level III trauma center
Number of Beds/Trauma Bays: 52 beds with 4 trauma bays
Fast Track Beds: 6 fast track beds
Triage Area: Quick look with 2 areas using Emergency Severity Index (ESI)
Patient Volume: Approximately 200 patients treated daily
Nurse Ratios: 1:5 for medical patients, 1:6 for fast track
Support Staff: ED techs with 2+ years of experience, respiratory therapists assigned 24/7
Orientation: One day of new employee orientation, one day of clinical/EPIC training, one day on the floor.

Schedule Requirements:

Varied shift start times: 7 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, or 3 PM
Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
Holiday requirement: Typically 2 out of 5 holidays (including eves)
Floating requirements to Foothills freestanding ER as scheduled.
