Job Summary and Responsibilities






As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans.   • Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data. (CNI / CNII / CNIII)
  • Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care: .1 identifies patient/caregiver teaching needs .2 identifies patient safety issues .3 Identifies patient comfort / pain issues (CNI / CNII / CNIII)
  • Performs the priority procedures for the assigned patients or areas safely - without causing harm legally - within the scope of practice and SMMC policy and in a manner perceived as satisfying by the patient and family. (CNI / CNII / CNIII)
  • Performs all procedures for the assigned patients or areas: .1 efficiently - using the fewest possible resources .2 effectively - achieving the intended results (CNII / CNIII)
  • Acts as a resource for all procedures for the assigned patients or areas. (CNIII)
  • Identifies actual and potentially unsafe care practices, initiates actions as appropriate to prevent or correct and reports in a timely manner. (CNI / CNII / CNIII)

We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications.   Our next posting period will be July 1, 2026 for an October 16, 2026 start date.  Positions can be found under National Resident RN (<12 months experience as an RN) or RN Transition/Fellowship (>12 months experience as an RN.

 









Job Requirements






  • One year ED RN Experience
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire
