We are seeking a full-time RN II – Ambulatory to join our Allergy team in Lake Mary, Florida.
At Nemours Children’s, nursing is about more than delivering clinical care. It is about partnering with children and their families, building trust, providing education, and helping each child achieve the healthiest possible future. As an RN II – Ambulatory, you will provide and coordinate pediatric nursing care while also taking on greater responsibility for program development, staff education, leadership, and the day-to-day management of an assigned program or specialty.
This is an opportunity to grow your nursing career within an organization that is investing in its talent and building programs to meet the needs of the healthiest generations of children. Our culture supports and allows individuals to flourish, particularly those who bring energy, perseverance, and a willingness to take on challenges. If you like to teach, solve problems, develop programs, and be part of a story of growth, you will find opportunities to make a meaningful difference here.
Primary Function
The RN II – Ambulatory provides and coordinates individualized, evidence-based nursing care in partnership with the child, family, multidisciplinary care team, and appropriate community resources. The RN II manages a designated patient population, provides education and care coordination, and promotes continuity of care across services.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the RN II is responsible for the development and management of an assigned program or specialty. This includes establishing and evaluating program goals and objectives, supporting day-to-day operations, providing staff education and training, maintaining program documentation, and collaborating with leadership to develop policies, procedures, and initiatives that support program objectives.
The RN II uses sound clinical judgment and considers each patient’s developmental, cultural, ethnic, and religious values and beliefs when planning and delivering care. The RN II evaluates patient and family responses to interventions, communicates changes or concerns to the care team, and adjusts the plan of care as appropriate.
