Clinical InformaticsJob Objective:
Provides expertise and support in the development and implementation of clinical applications at Eisenhower Medical Center (EMC). Provides guidelines and updates in appropriate use of new technologies. Evaluates that technical and quality standards are met within the systems. Evaluates that solutions are cost effective and meet the informational needs of the client. Consults with other information systems staff and representatives from EMC departments. Provides assistance and support to the RN Program Manager, Informatics. Coordinates special system projects in support of organizational initiatives and strategic goals. Assists in the development, design and implementation of information technology to improve quality of care. Applies the understanding of existing workflows and serves as a bridge between clinical operations and information systems to implement evidence-based practices which improve patient outcomes, regulatory compliance and information transparency. Acts as a professional resource and role model and maintains standards of conduct and ethics in support of the mission and values of Eisenhower Medical Center.Job Description:
Education:
Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing
Preferred: Master's degree in Health Informatics or Informatics
Licensure/Certification:
Required: California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Preferred: Certification in Epic Clinical Informatics
Experience:
Required: Four (4) years of RN experience with one (1) year of nursing informatics experience
Preferred: Acute care, ambulatory or outpatient experience
Reports To: Chief Nursing Informatics Officer
Supervises: N/A
Ages of Patients: N/A
Blood Borne Pathogens: Minimal/ No Potential

Ability to coordinate multiple projects, Ability to identify/solve complex problems, Ability to prioritize work and responsibilities, Excellent organizational and time management skills, Experience with electronic medical documentation systems and MS Office applications, Written and verbal communication skillsEssential Responsibilities
