Job Title: RN - PACU (Recovery)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Provide immediate post-operative care, focusing on stabilization and recovery.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized recovery plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate patients and their families about recovery processes and post-operative care instructions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Must have ICU experience and PACU experience in a Trauma Level 1 or 2 facility.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred.
• Knowledge of NIH Stroke Scale assessment preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or recovery setting.
