Rollup Operator

Job Summary: 

Responsible for operating the coater roll-up console to prevent the accumulator from maxing out. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Operate roll-up using roll-up console 

• Ensure turf is rolled up to a first quality standard 

• Work in a timely manner to maintain accumulator level 

• Ensure rolls are cut to specified size  

• Communicate with lift truck operator when cores or plastic wrap needs to be replaced 

• Cut straps on core bundles 

• Change saran wrap rolls as needed 

• Assist QC with quality checks on rolls 

• Assist wrap station operators as needed 

• Notify supervisor and maintenance of mechanical issues or breakdowns 

• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks as  

• Communicate with console operators as needed regarding line speed 

• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure 

• Ability to solve practical problems 

• Ability to read and understand documents such as SOPs and OPLs 

• Ability to communicate effectively with leads and supervisors 

• Must be able to reach above head and lift 15 lbs. repeatably 

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time 

• Must be able to climb stairs occasionally
