RS AMT II A&P - 4th Shift in  GAC Fort Worth



Unique Skills:


Aircraft structural assembly / aircraft sheet metal experience (specifically required).


Strong experience with:


Sheet metal fabrication and installation


Drilling, riveting, countersinking, reaming, fastening


Reading blueprints and engineering drawings


Experience with: Solumina & Smarteam


Ability to:


Perform structural assembly and fitting


Use tools such as:


Rivet guns


Pneumatic drills


Rivet shavers


Files, reamers


Remove and install fasteners without damage


Work with:


Adhesives, sealants, solvents


Composite materials and resins


Perform:


Repairs


Precision close-tolerance work


Strong:


Attention to detail


Manual dexterity / hands-on skills


Problem-solving in production environment


Must be able to:


Follow safety regulations and PPE requirements



 


 


Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical). A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver’s License required. Position Purpose:Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties requiring accuracy and skill.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Perform required. maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems .
  2. Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems .
  3. Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements .
  4. Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner .
  5. Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications .
  6. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely .
  7. Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment .
  8. Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components .
  9. Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed .
Additional Functions:
  1. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean .
  2. Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment .
  3. Coordinate movement of aircraft, as required. .
  4. Maintain knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
  2. Knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
  3. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
