- Ruby Tester with Development skill set

Position: Tester with Ruby Development skill set.

Duration: 6 months+

Description of the Requirements for this Job (Knowledge, Skill, Education and Experience)
 
Essential:
•    A  B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
•    5+years Development experience with at least  2 years in Ruby Application Development
•    Solid understanding of object-oriented programming using Ruby
•    Experience in JRuby, JSON
•    Skills for writing reusable Ruby libraries that may be used in expressive ways
•    Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
•    Experience working with offshore resources
•    Experience with both external and embedded databases
•    Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests
•    Strong debugging and problem solving skills
•    Experience in Configuration Management Tools like Subversion
•    Familiarity with continuous integration
•    Understanding technical specifications .
•    Strong verbal, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
•    Experience interfacing with customers on previous projects
•    Able to successfully communicate technical concepts and information to the Team  

Desirable
 
•    Previous experience with agile development methodologies.
•    Agile SCRUM experience
•    Agile LEAN experience
•    Experience in Messaging Protocols Development
•    Working knowledge of Rally Tool
•    Working knowledge of Python
•    Must have created automation scripts for Linux based applications.
•    Previous experience with setting up Test Automation  Platforms.
•    Experience in Cucumber automation Framework
