About the Opportunity

A well-established and growing specialty contractor is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support field and office operations across multiple construction projects. The Safety Coordinator will play a key role in supporting company-wide safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting jobsite inspections, assisting with training programs, and helping maintain a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and help enforce company safety programs and site-specific safety plans.


• Provide safety coaching, guidance, and support to field and office personnel.


• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits.


• Assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations.


• Support new hire orientations and ongoing safety training initiatives.


• Stay current on OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.


• Assist with the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.


• Support workers' compensation and insurance claim processes.


• Partner with project teams to promote a proactive safety culture.


• Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.


• Construction safety experience is preferred but not required.


• CHST certification is a plus.


• OSHA 30 certification preferred or ability to obtain shortly after hire.


• Knowledge of OSHA and construction safety regulations.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).


• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build relationships with field personnel.
