Position Summary:
The Safety/HR Manager will assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures, organize team meetings, solve safety issues, coordinate audits and inspections, track corrective actions and incident data, review important safety documents, and many other duties that require a high degree of attention to detail. This will all be done within the confines of Kort’s Construction Services’ goals and vision.
As a Human Resources Manager they will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This will all be done within the confines of Kort’s Construction Services’ goals and vision.
Essential Functions:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
· Oversees the daily workflow of Human Resources & Safety department.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy and state law.
Physical Requirements:
Requires the mobility to perform vehicle operating duties.
The Safety Administrator at times will have a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and objects.
The Safety Administrator at times will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
