Safety Specialist- Vance, AL MLC1

Description

· Conduct Safety walks and audit walks daily

· Implementing and forcing the values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, and standards of the organization standards, over all areas of their responsibility, to achieve the vision of the company.

· Responsible for maintaining basic key performance indicators to measure departmental performance.

· Problem solving and timely escalation of problems that could potentially impact operational performance.

· Coordinate shop floor activities to comply with safety and customer requirements adhering to the Schnellecke Logistics, AL safety guidelines.

· Communicate with the safety coordinator and safety/quality manager to resolve issues pertaining to safety relevant.

· Assist with the completion of the incident investigation packet for injuries and incidents.

· Immediately notify the safety coordinator and occupational health specialist of any injuries in the facility.

· Report and record all incidents and spills.

Requirements

· Possible use of MHE equipment may be required

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Computer skills

· Communication Skills

· Basic knowledge of OSHA is preferred but not required

· Attention to Detail
