SAH Care Coordinator NES

SUMMARY:

Responsible for telephone triaging all clinical calls received in the center to include researching, assessing, analyzing and summarizing the nature of the call. Provide detailed documentation in the patient's electronic record to communicate with the providers. Responsible for communicating back to the patients based on the provider responses. Responsible for scheduling appointments and other related administrative tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing all patient clinical calls received in our center

Responsible for assessing, responding and documenting the call to begin an electronic record triage

Working closely with the registered nurses and medical providers in response to this triaging

Working with multiple programs for patient registration, billing, insurance eligibility, and authorizations

Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

High School diploma and additional certification and/or associates degree, previous medical office experience with medical terminology and medical phone clinical triaging

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two (2) years experience medical office

Excellent phone customer service skills

Excellent communication skills with attention to details both verbally and in writing

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Good judgment and problem solving skills

Possess good organizational skills and time management

Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and corteous environment
