Job Description - Sales and Operations Lead Scout Hub, Yakima

About Scout Campers

Scout Campers is redefining how adventurers experience the outdoors. With our innovative, lightweight, and off-grid capable campers, we empower people to explore further and live more freely. At Scout, we believe in crafting experiences—not just products.

We're launching our second Scout Hub in Yakima, Washington: an immersive, interactive retail space where customers can explore, engage, and purchase. We're looking for a strategic and creative Sales and Operations Lead to take ownership of this space and build something truly groundbreaking in the outdoor industry.

Position Overview

As the Sales and Operations Lead, you’ll oversee day-to-day sales and operations at our Yakima Hub. You’ll be responsible for managing operations, driving revenue performance, and creating seamless customer journeys across all touchpoints. This role blends retail operations, experiential sales, community engagement, training, and customer service.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, operations-focused leader with a passion for outdoor adventure and delivering outstanding customer experiences in a unique, hands-on retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Scout Hub Management – Sales & Operations

  • Coach, train, and support team members to ensure top-tier performance and customer engagement in accordance with the KPIs laid out by the leadership team.

  • Build and maintain a customer pipeline and follow up through different stages of the sales process starting from initial interaction through to delivery.

  • Support customer finance applications.

  • Guide customers through the sales processes by maintaining consistent and timely follow-up communications.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and lead tracking.

  • Manage hub opening and closing procedures in alignment with leadership directives.

  • Schedule appointments, walkthroughs, and deliveries.

  • Implement efficient retail operations that deliver seamless end-to-end customer experience—from exploration to purchase and delivery.

  • Lead merchandising efforts to create a curated, visually compelling product environment.

  • Optimize layout, display, and inventory for an engaging, conversion-driven experience.

  • Oversee hub-based service offerings, including pre-delivery checks, upfitting, product handovers, and post-purchase support.

  • Support leadership in managing sales goals, customer satisfaction metrics, and operational budgets.

Community Engagement & Events

  • Position the Hub as a center for community connection and brand immersion.

  • Plan and execute in-store events such as product demos, adventure rallies, workshops, and VIP customer experiences.

  • Collaborate with outdoor brands and local businesses to host joint events and build brand presence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years in experiential retail, retail operations, brand activations, or omnichannel customer experience—preferably in outdoor, automotive, or lifestyle industries.

  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing sales/service teams.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital retail tools to optimize customer engagement.

  • Strong operational and organizational skills with a hands-on approach.

  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

  • Passion for the outdoors, overlanding, or off-grid adventure travel is a strong plus.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for key events and activations.

  • Intermediate level skill using Microsoft programs (Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Excel and Teams) and project management tools like Asana.

Expectations & Availability

  • Must be available to work weekends, public holidays, and occasional evenings for events.

  • Scheduling may shift based on business needs and direction from leadership.

  • Willingness to support additional duties and special projects as the Hub evolves.

Why Join Scout Campers?

  • Be at the forefront of a transformative retail model in adventure and outdoor space.

  • Lead and grow community-driven experiential hubs that foster authentic engagement.

  • Join a team that prioritizes innovation, sustainability, and a shared love of exploration.

  • Enjoy a competitive salary and performance-based incentives tied to success metrics.
