Sales Consultant - Dutchess County, NY

Ginsberg’s Foods is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Sales Consultant with a strong background in foodservice to join our high-performing team. To be considered for the Sales Consultant position, you must be located in Dutchess County, NY or the surrounding area.

At Ginsberg’s, you’re a Sales Consultant—not an order taker. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your territory, build strong customer relationships, and make a meaningful impact on your results and earning potential.

Compensation: This is a salaried position starting around $70,000-$80,000 and is negotiable based on years of foodservice experience.

A monthly expense allowance will be provided. Additional income through promotional and team-based incentives can be generated throughout the year. 

Weekly Work Schedule: This position is Monday – Friday, with flexibility outside of regular business hours to meet the demands of the business. 

As a Sales Consultant, you’ll have significant latitude to manage and grow your territory. You’ll work directly with foodservice operators to understand their businesses, identify opportunities, solve problems, and provide solutions that create value.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in foodservice sales is required.  

What You’ll Do: 

1. Prospecting new customers within the assigned district to grow our business through cold calling and frequent follow up.


2. Quotes and negotiates prices and credit terms.


3. Creates customer order guides.


4. Provides value-added benefits to the customers.


5. Samples products and performs product cuttings.


6. Participates in all sales promotions and initiatives.


7. Reviews sales reports / pricing lists to manage and coordinate work activity.


8. Works closely with internal partners, food brokers and food manufacturer’s.
