• Sell used and new vehicles by focusing on the process of understanding and meeting customer needs.


• Effectively relate to customers of all backgrounds and focus on customer enthusiasm. 


• Learn sales procedures, processes and follow-up.


• Learn, understand and convey Kalispell Motor Company's Best Price System to customers.


• Obtain basic knowledge of automotive systems and thorough knowledge of prices, models, series, options, specifications and other variations of the manufacturer's products.


• Master the ability to network, follow up on prospects and ask for referrals.


• Keep abreast of basic knowledge about competitor's products and prices.


• Demonstrate sensitivity toward customers and have a strong interest in exceeding customers' expectations.


• Become capable of addressing customer hesitation and resistance


• Strive for continuous improvement professionally and personally.


• Attend mandatory meetings, including, but not limited to, sales, teams or training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work required


• Must have a current driver's license and maintain a good driving record


• Strong organizational skills and patience


• Ability to work independently


• Strong attention to detail


• Work easily with numbers


• Enjoy working with customers


• Ability to work well in a team setting


• Willing to work longer hours 


• Flexibility in dealing with situations


• Possess active listening skills


• Must have good written and verbal communication skills
