SALES MANAGER

$80,000 - $120,000 annual salary

Additional incentive/commission compensation may apply

This position reports daily to Rocky Mount, VA

YOUR NEW ROLE:

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the sales team, driving sales performance, supporting an exceptional customer experience, and ensuring effective coordination from the sales process through installation. This role establishes clear expectations, monitors results, coaches team members, improves sales processes, and partners across departments to achieve company goals.  This position will report to the General Manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of five years of leadership and sales management experience.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and team-development skills.

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative, learn independently, and follow through on commitments.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across departments.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn company systems and technology.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement sales plans and strategies aligned with company goals.

  • Lead, coach, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team performance expectations.

  • Set sales goals and monitor performance, trends, and key metrics; provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership.

  • Hold team members accountable for performance, customer experience, sales processes, and company standards.

  • Identify opportunities to grow sales and expand the customer base.

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects and proactively assist with resolving customer concerns.

  • Conduct or support sales presentations and negotiations as needed.

  • Lead effective Sales-to-Install handoffs to support a best-in-class customer experience.

  • Collaborate with Install, Service, Warehouse, Finance, and other departments to ensure effective execution of sales commitments.

  • Monitor customer financing from the beginning of the sales process through completion of the installation, as appropriate.

  • Coordinate with the Warehouse on special-order items and communicate availability and updates to the sales team.

  • Maintain current knowledge of company products, services, features, benefits, and pricing.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activity, market opportunities, and potential business risks.

  • Continuously evaluate sales processes, performance measures, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide recommendations to senior leadership regarding sales strategy, processes, customer experience, and team performance.

  • Participate in manager meetings, leadership development, and other company meetings as required.

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, customer, company, and other sensitive written and verbal information.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, sales procedures, ethical standards, and applicable requirements.

Job requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. 

  • Experience: Minimum of five years of leadership and sales management experience. 

  • Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn company systems and technology. 

  • Additional Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the United States, pass a background check and drug test. Tobacco-free candidates are preferred.
