We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Professional to lead business development efforts throughout West Michigan. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience supplying OEM manufacturers, furniture producers, and construction-related customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing accounts, and serving as a trusted partner to customers throughout the region.

Position Summary

The Sales Professional will drive revenue growth by building relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, furniture companies, distributors, and construction industry customers. This position requires a strong understanding of consultative selling, account management, and the ability to identify customer needs and deliver value-added solutions.

This is a field-based position focused on the West Michigan market, with regular customer visits and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within OEM, furniture manufacturing, and construction markets
• Manage and grow relationships with existing customers and strategic accounts
• Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and business reviews
• Partner with customers to understand product requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing recommendations
• Work closely with internal teams to support customer projects, order processing, and product delivery
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions within CRM systems
• Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings as required
• Provide regular sales forecasts, territory updates, and performance reports

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of successful business-to-business sales experience
• Demonstrated experience selling to OEM manufacturers, furniture manufacturers, distributors, or construction-related customers
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to effectively manage a sales territory and prioritize opportunities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout West Michigan

Preferred Skills

• Existing relationships within the West Michigan furniture, manufacturing, or construction industries
• Experience with specification-driven or project-based sales
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes
• Excellent communication and consultative selling abilities
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to identify customer needs and develop long-term business partnerships
• Experience working with imported products, materials, or global supply chains is a plus
