Sales Representative

Full Job Description

As a Generator Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing customers with on-site generator proposals while delivering an exceptional customer experience from the initial consultation through the final sale. You will serve as the first impression to homeowners and play a critical role in representing the company’s professionalism, product knowledge, and commitment to customer satisfaction. This position requires a motivated, goal-oriented individual who is comfortable working directly with customers in their homes, educating them on generator solutions, and helping them choose the best system to meet their needs.

Job Duties

• Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners throughout the sales process
• Educate customers on generator products, installation timelines, warranty options, and financing solutions
• Accurately assess customer needs and recommend appropriate generator systems
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer records within company CRM systems
• Coordinate with permitting, operations, and installation teams to ensure smooth project handoff
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and performance expectations
• Stay current on generator product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings
• Represent the company professionally at all customer interactions and community events
• Ensure all sales documentation and contracts are completed accurately and submitted timely
• Provide exceptional follow-up and post-sale customer support to ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage sales pipeline and maintain consistent communication with prospective customers
• Travel within the assigned territory as needed to meet with customers and attend appointments

Pay

Base salary plus uncapped commission structure, providing strong earning potential for motivated and high-performing individuals.

Work Experience & Qualifications

• Previous outside sales or in-home sales experience preferred  
• Experience in construction, electrical, HVAC, home improvement, or generator industry preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills 
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a flexible schedule 
•  Comfortable presenting and speaking with customers in person 
•  Must maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude 
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally  
• Ability to read site plans, property layouts, and basic technical information preferred  
• Goal-oriented mindset with a strong drive to succeed
