Job Description:

Are you a proven sales producer with strong relationships across the industrial and scrap generating community? Cozzi Recycling is looking for a full-time Senior Commercial Sales Representative to drive growth for our metal recycling operations out of Bellwood, IL. This outside sales role focuses on generating new business, managing key customer relationships, securing long-term recycling agreements, and increasing ferrous and nonferrous purchasing volumes. The ideal candidate brings an established network and can quickly turn those relationships into inbound metal volume and lasting accounts.

Responsibilities: The candidate will:

  Leverage existing customer relationships and industry contacts to generate immediate revenue opportunities

  Develop and execute territory growth strategies to increase ferrous and nonferrous metal purchasing volumes
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Prospect and secure new accounts through networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry events
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, contractors, demolition companies, machine shops, fabricators, recyclers, and industrial facilities
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and purchase contracts while protecting company profitability
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Monitor market conditions, commodity pricing, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Conduct regular customer site visits to evaluate recycling programs and identify additional material recovery opportunities
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Coordinate with operations, transportation, and scale personnel to deliver exceptional customer service

  Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and account activity updates for management
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Represent the company professionally while promoting safety, integrity, and customer satisfaction
  
  

  
  

Requirements

Requirements: The candidate must:

• 
  

  Have 5+ years of successful outside sales experience in metal recycling, scrap metal brokerage, industrial services, waste and recycling, manufacturing-related sales, or commodity purchasing
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Have a proven track record of developing new business and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Have a strong understanding of ferrous and nonferrous metals and commodity markets
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Have excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  
  

  
  

• 
  

  Be a self-starter able to work independently and manage a sales territory

  Have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
