Department Information
The person in this position can be located in Grand Rapids or Detroit.  Occasional travel between sites will be required.
 
Coordinates administrative and operational activities in support of departmental leaders and business priorities, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics, preparing materials, supporting events, tracking follow-up items, and facilitating timely communication across stakeholders.
 
Coordinate, organize, prioritize and generate statistical and other technical related information on activities and/or programs specific to the sales and marketing areas of the company.
  • Coordinate development of statistical and technical reports on a monthly, quarterly, annually or as needed basis.
  • Analyze trends to identify opportunities within the division or marketplace.
  • Monitor, analyze and coordinate the production results of sales personnel for accurate reporting and timely payment of incentives.
  • Maintain the department's database by monitoring and reporting on specific criteria identified by the department.
  • Ensure timely, quality and accurate data is provided by reviewing, modifying, updating procedures, reporting mechanisms and data collection needs.
  • Analyze reporting needs, data and results and makes recommendations for changes and improvements based on gneration of numerical and statistical reports. 
  • Analyze requests for special reports or projects and determine the best method of compiling, formatting and generating requested information. 
  • Coordinate the completion of and submit the sales regions midyear and annual forecasts. 
  • Assist and/or develop the sales budget and complete monthly status reports. 
  • Provide computer applications and secretarial support to management as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

"Qualifications"

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent required. Two (2) years of college with emphasis on Business, Mathematics or Statistics preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience as identified by the department, e.g., corporate reporting, marketing, provider relations, sales.
  • If selling/negotiating a price as part of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the following licenses are required within 90 days of start date or 90 days from current license expiration date: valid Michigan Accident and Health Insurance License and a valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.
  • Basic understanding of logic and programming language patterns.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of BCBSM and/or BCN sales processes, products and distribution systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to produce statistical information and technical data from conceptual needs.
  • Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
