The Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, configuring, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting Salesforce solutions that meet business needs.This role independently owns assigned work across customer, dealer, sales, service, and operational processes while integrating Salesforce with ERP and other enterprise platforms. The Salesforce Developer translates business requirements into secure, scalable solutions and serves as a confident technical voice within the agile team.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and platform configuration for customer, dealer, sales, service, and operational use cases.
Configure and extend the Salesforce data model, including objects, fields, validation rules, record types, layouts, permission sets, sharing rules, and related documentation.
Design, build, and maintain integrations between Salesforce, Epicor ERP/Kinetic, and other enterprise platforms using REST or SOAP APIs and approved middleware.
Select the appropriate declarative or programmatic approach while accounting for security, governor limits, performance, maintainability, and long-term support.
Build and support data migration, transformation, and reconciliation processes that protect data accuracy across Salesforce and connected systems.
Develop automated tests and execute unit, integration, regression, and functional testing to validate delivered functionality.
Support business-user acceptance testing, resolve defects, and confirm release readiness before production deployment.
Manage changes across Salesforce environments through approved source control, code review, release management, and CI/CD practices.
Troubleshoot production issues, monitor integrations and automation, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
Document solution designs, configuration decisions, data mappings, integration dependencies, release steps, assumptions, and known limitations.
Collaborate with sales, service, dealer, operations, product, and IT teams during requirements definition, backlog refinement, estimation, testing, and delivery.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
2-4 years of professional Salesforce development experience.
Strong proficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce development patterns.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative capabilities, including Flow, custom objects, validation rules, record types, and page configuration.
Solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, security and sharing model, governor limits, and platform performance considerations.
Experience building and consuming production REST or SOAP API integrations using JSON or XML.
Experience with automated Apex testing, debugging, sandboxes, source control, deployments, and agile delivery practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder, Administrator, or comparable Salesforce certification.
Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, or other Salesforce products relevant to customer and dealer operations.
Experience in manufacturing, ERP, dealer, or integration-heavy environments and with Epicor, MuleSoft, Boomi, Salesforce CLI, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or automated deployments.
