Sanitation Baler 

Location: Richmond, VA
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM

We are seeking a reliable Sanitation Baler for a food distribution warehouse supplying fresh produce, dairy, eggs, and gourmet food products throughout the Mid-Atlantic. This position handles packaging waste and recycling while helping maintain a clean and organized cold, wet warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and sort cardboard, plastic, and other designated recyclable materials.
• Operate the cardboard baler after completing required training.
• Prepare and move finished bales using approved equipment and procedures.
• Keep warehouse aisles, recycling areas, and waste collection points free of debris.
• Remove trash and assist with general warehouse sanitation.
• Report equipment problems and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Follow equipment safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a cold, wet warehouse environment.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
• Must be available Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and handle bulky materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow instructions and safely operate equipment after training.
• Previous baler operation, recycling, sanitation, or warehouse experience preferred.
