Sanitation Technician – Food Distribution Warehouse
Location: Richmond, VA
Hours: 6:30 AM until finished
Pay: $15.50/hour; increases to $16/hour upon conversion to permanent employment

We are hiring Sanitation Technicians for a food distribution warehouse supplying fresh produce, dairy, eggs, and gourmet food products to foodservice businesses throughout the Mid-Atlantic. This role helps keep the facility clean, sanitary, and safe.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize warehouse floors, equipment, work areas, and designated surfaces.
• Remove trash, food waste, and debris.
• Follow cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and food safety guidelines.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment as instructed.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• Report spills, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working in a cold, wet warehouse environment.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
• Must be available to start at 6:30 AM and work until all daily tasks are finished.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically active work throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team.
• Previous sanitation, janitorial, or warehouse cleaning experience preferred.
