Saw Operator

The ideal candidate should have experience as a saw machine operator, saw operator, or previous experience from a sawmill.

• Sets up and operates metal-sawing machines.
• Understand the dimensions and footage when making a cut. 
• Installs saw blade and sets blade tension and cutting speed for specified operation.
• Perform quality checks on part to ensure machines are running properly.
• Sets Saw blade angle to obtain desired angle cuts.

• Possess strong mechanical abilities. 
• Must be able to work as a team in collaborative environment. 
• Willing to learn
• High School Diploma or equivalent 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist while operating equipment and handling materials.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier materials with assistance or material-handling equipment.
• Ability to safely load, position, secure, and unload raw materials such as steel, aluminum, plate, pipe, tubing, and structural components.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to operate machine controls, measuring devices, hand tools, and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and back throughout the workday.
• Ability to maintain visual acuity sufficient to read work orders, blueprints, measuring instruments, cut lists, and machine controls.
• Ability to distinguish measurements, markings, and material specifications to ensure accurate cuts and quality standards.
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and production personnel.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed footwear, face shields, and other safety equipment as required.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and work overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
