SCADA / HMI Validation Engineer P2P / RTU-PLC

Job Summary

We are seeking a SCADA / HMI Validation Specialist to support pipeline control operations by performing Point-to-Point (P2P) validation between SCADA systems, HMI interfaces, and field devices (RTUs/PLCs). This role ensures accurate signal transmission, reliable control functionality, and compliance with Control Room Management and operational readiness standards prior to commissioning.

Candidates with direct SCADA/HMI validation experience are strongly preferred. However, professionals with exposure to SCADA/HMI environments and a solid understanding of control system operations are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Point-to-Point (P2P) validation between SCADA displays, HMI systems, and RTU/PLC field devices.
• Verify accuracy of field inputs, outputs, alarms, and control signals across SCADA/HMI systems.
• Identify, document, and escalate discrepancies, communication failures, and configuration issues.
• Coordinate testing activities with IT/SCADA support teams, Control Room personnel, and Field Operations.
• Align schedules, confirm system readiness, and support execution of validation activities.
• Execute high-volume, repeatable validation procedures with consistency and precision.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation including checklists, test results, and discrepancy logs.
• Ensure compliance with Control Room Management and internal operational standards prior to asset commissioning.
• Support continuous improvement of SCADA displays, validation workflows, and system configuration processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• ~5 years of experience in SCADA / HMI environments supporting validation, operations, or control system activities.
• Hands-on experience with Point-to-Point (P2P) validation between SCADA/HMI systems and RTU/PLC devices.
• Experience troubleshooting signal, alarm, and control issues in SCADA environments.
• Strong understanding of SCADA systems and HMI interfaces in operational settings.
• Experience working with Control Room Operations, Field Operations, and IT/SCADA teams.
• Ability to produce accurate, structured, audit-ready documentation.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination.

Preferred Experience

• Pipeline operations, oil & gas control rooms, or industrial control environments.
• Exposure to Control Room Management (CRM) requirements or regulated operational environments.
• Experience in utilities, power generation, water/wastewater, or industrial automation control systems.
• History of completing long-term contract or project-based assignments (12+ months preferred).
