Job Description - Scheduling Specialist I

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and enhancing our community's experience in getting help? As a Scheduling Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our organization, orchestrating appointments, and fostering seamless communication between clients and clinicians.

Essential Job Duties
  • You'll be the master of accuracy, meticulously collecting and validating patient information to facilitate compliant claims and account payments.
  • Our team relies on your expertise to process referrals, gather intake documents, and schedule appointments for our esteemed providers.
  • Keeping everything on track, you'll confirm active insurance coverage.
  • Your exceptional interpersonal skills will shine as you act as a vital liaison between clients and clinicians, providing support and resolving any scheduling issues.
  • Being the go-to resource for your colleagues and clinical staff, your problem-solving prowess will be put to the test as you tackle unique challenges and escalate issues when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in scheduling, preferably in a multi-provider practice/hospital/mental health office.
  • Location: REMOTE! Priority will be given to applicants from Central Oregon.

  • Armed with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you'll tackle any scheduling puzzles that come your way.
  • Embracing modern technology, you'll effortlessly navigate office equipment and various software and computer programs.
  • Efficiency and time management will be your allies in juggling multiple tasks with ease.
  • Your dedication to confidentiality will maintain the trust and privacy of our valued clients.
  • Remaining composed under pressure, your courteous demeanor will shine when dealing with the public.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish brings an enriched dimension to our already diverse team. 
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Background Check Requirement
  • A background check will be performed on all hires, post-offer. Employment is contingent upon passing this check. 
What We Offer
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation starts at $22.00 per hour, with an increase upon satisfactory review (first review within the first 90 days). 5% pay incentive for Bi-lingual-Spanish.
  • (4) weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year, pro-rated amount based on hire date.  
  • Health Insurance - Employer contributions towards Medical, dental, prescription, and vision insurance with acupuncture, chiropractic, and orthodontia coverage through Moda Health (available the 1st of the month following start date), HDHP w/ HSA.
  • FSA - Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Supplemental Insurance - Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Accident and Hospital Insurance offered through Aflac.
  • Retirement - The company contributes up to 3% to your retirement without you having to contribute-investing in your future on your behalf! This begins after one year of service.
