What We Want
We are seeking a Scholastic Supervisor to be responsible for providing academic support, guidance, and mentorship to student-athletes while collaborating with academic professionals to create a highly effective learning environment with a primary focus on student development.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

Work flexible, non-traditional hours including some evenings, weekends and holidays to complete assigned duties.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years Athletic Academic advising at collegiate, high school or junior college level or athletic administration experience working with student-athletes at those same levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree.
Three to five years athletic academic advising at the collegiate, high school, or junior college level or athletics.
Knowledge of NCAA academic rules. Ability to calculate PTD, APR and GSR requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to use computer and technology skills to communicate and manage data and record keeping.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while keeping a primary focus on student development and work cooperatively with others.
Essential Duties/Tasks
ADVISOR - Provide a high level of academic support programming for student-athletes from admission through graduation. Establish relationships and demonstrate a true willingness to communicate the ideas and expectations of the academic program. Work with other professionals to assess and evaluate student academic interests and abilities while developing plan for success. Proactively monitor and provide intervention strategies for student-athletes. Communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaches, staff and faculty by providing timely and accurate academic reports.
LIFE SKILLS - Facilitate transition programming for student-athletes through the Life Skills Program. Assist in the coordination of Life Skills events and seminars.
RECRUITING - Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes through transcript evaluation, scheduling, and facilitating academic presentations and tours.
COMMITTEES - Serve on staff, departmental and university committees as assigned. Represent the Athletics Department on various levels within the University campus, athletics profession and the local community.
DEPARTMENT POLICIES - Participate in the development and enforcement of Academics and departmental policies and procedures.
STUDENT-ATHLETE ENGAGEMENT - Support and promote Student-Athlete Engagement events and seminars.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Participate and engage in professional development and leadership opportunities.
COMPLIANCE - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athletes: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality and other areas as deemed appropriate. Provides appropriate educational training for academic staff and enforce rules appropriately.
