School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) 

Total Weekly Compensation $2,633.50


2025–2026 School Year

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. The SLP will support students’ communication needs to enhance academic success and social participation within the school setting.

Reg Hourly Rate $37.00

Weekly Tavel Stipend $1,246.00 

Weekly Taxable Pay $1,387.50 

Total Weekly Compensation$2,633.50

Position Details

  • Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
     
  • Caseload: Approximately 40 students
     
  • Grades: PK–12 (caseloads available across grade levels)
     
  • Assignment: Some positions may be split between two school sites
    Role Overview

The School Speech-Language Pathologist assesses, diagnoses, and treats students with speech, language, and communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication challenges. The SLP plays a vital role in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborates closely with educators, families, and school staff.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders.
     
  • Therapy Services: Provide individual and group therapy to address articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs.
     
  • IEP Development: Participate as a key IEP team member, including development, implementation, and progress reviews.
     
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success.
     
  • Monitoring & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, track student progress, and adjust therapy plans as needed.
     
  • Consultation: Provide strategies and education to school staff and families to support communication goals.
     

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
     
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) – required
     
  • South Carolina SLP license – required
     
  • South Carolina educator certification – required
     
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
     
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamNote: Clinical Fellows (CFs) are not being considered at this time.
