Job Description - School-Based Program Liaison



The School-Based Program Liaison is a member of the school-based team at Family Ties, and a dedicated representative to partnering schools. The Liaison serves as a highly visible intermediary between partnering schools and the agency, managing the relationship and regular communications. The Liaison ensures that school needs are met; any issues raised are resolved; and staffing patterns are consistent. The Liaison also is required to maintain an in-person presence at multiple partnering schools and reports directly to the school-based team supervisor.


Responsibilities 



  • Serve as the agency’s highly visible liaison to partnering schools, ensuring alignment of expectations and goals, and consistent and effective communication between all parties.

  • Meet regularly with all schools – in person, via email and virtually – to create new partnerships, nurture existing relationships and increase referrals • Develop and submit action plans for schools with low referral rates

  • Address and manage school needs, and ensure stable and dependable staffing patterns across schools • Report and assist in resolving any concerns reported by schools and staff

  • Track and maintain a monthly record of contacts at and referrals received from each school

  • Submit written reports monthly, documenting school visits, client updates and key outcomes 

  • Direct supervision of interns at assigned schools, working with interns on all Tier 1, 2 & 3 projects.

  • Assist interns with monthly data collection for Apex grant, helping to ensure accuracy and integrity. 

  • Coordinate school events, facilitate groups, deliver presentations, and provide community support (e.g., back-to-school events, PTA meetings, parent nights, and event table set up)

  • Attend school, district, Apex/Clayton grant, and regional meetings and events

  • Complete administrative duties during the summer months, and other duties as assigned 


Qualifications and Skills 



  • Must have completed master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field; associate license (LAMFT, LAPC, LMSW) or full licensure (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in Georgia preferred

  • Two years of community- or home-based mental health counseling experience

  • Training and experience in evidence-based treatment models

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to diverse cultures

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Flexible work schedule with the willingness and ability to work evenings/weekends, when necessary

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus
