Overview\n\nWe are seeking a scientist to join our Investigative Sciences team to help advance our RNAi therapeutics platform by elucidating mechanisms of toxicity and de-risking siRNA ligand candidates through hypothesis-driven, translational investigations. This role will work closely with platform research scientists, DMPK and Bioanalytical Sciences (BA) colleagues to support novel ligand derisking efforts that ensure candidate selection and transition to early development. Candidate would be expected to perform toxicological evaluations of siRNA ligands and elucidate of mechanisms of toxicity utilizing novel in vitro and/or in vivo systems.\n\nThis position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA. \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Design and execute hypothesis-driven mechanistic in vitro and in vivo studies to investigate toxicity findings.\n * Develop and implement cell-based and biochemical assays to assess receptor binding, signaling, endocytosis, and trafficking to support novel ligand candidate derisking and selection.\n * Assess and implement new technologies to support/improve compound toxicity prediction \u0026 screening. Preference toward high-throughput or genomics platforms.\n * Collaborate closely with discovery scientists, toxicologists, and pathologists to deconvolute toxicology issues and ensure strategic investigative alignment for candidate selection.\n * Communicate study rationale, results, and recommendations through high-quality reports, presentations, and cross-functional meetings.\n * Maintain high standards of scientific rigor, data integrity\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n * Ph.D. degree in Molecular Toxicology, Pharmacology, Immunology, or related field; 1-3 years relevant experience in academia or industry is preferred.\n * Demonstrated knowledge in designing and conducting in vitro or in vivo mechanistic studies \n * Expertise in characterizing receptor-ligand interactions and downstream cell signaling or cellular function readouts is highly desired.\n * Technical proficiency in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques. Experience with high-content imaging and/or flow cytometry is desired.\n * Must be a highly motivated and organized individual with team orientated mentality and enjoy working in fast-paced and collaborative environment.\n * Excellent written and oral communication skills.\n * Experience with in vitro and in vivo translational models for safety assessment preferred. \n * Experience with modalities such as small molecules and biologics preferred.\n\n\n\n#LI-JR1\n\nU.S. Pay Range\n\n$107,400.00 - $161,000.00\n\nThe pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting.
