Job Description:

PROGRAM MANAGER

Seize your opportunity to lead impactful operations as the Site Lead for the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) Instructor Support Services. In this role, you will oversee all operations at a designated site, ensuring seamless delivery of instructor support services and program objectives. As a Site Lead, you’ll contribute directly to the readiness of U.S. Navy Sailors, ensuring their confidence and preparedness to undertake high-intensity surface warfare missions. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Site Lead, you will:

  • Manage Site Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations at your designated site, including coordination of training schedules, instructor tasking, and resource allocation.

  • Lead Your Team: Supervise on-site personnel, ensuring their qualifications, readiness, and compliance with program and customer objectives.

  • Monitor Performance: Evaluate and maintain performance standards for all site operations, ensuring training support aligns with contract requirements.

  • Support Training Delivery: Collaborate with training teams to ensure instructors and training assets are deployed efficiently.

  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Serve as the primary point of contact for government customers and GDIT leadership at your site, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.

  • Drive Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, maintain records, and report performance metrics to the Program Manager.

  • Identify and Resolve Issues: Quickly identify and resolve issues related to personnel, resources, and operations to maintain continuity of services.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experience and Skills

  • Five (5) years of experience with the shipboard system(s) or tactics taught by the supported school, including hands-on experience as an instructor with responsibility for teaching these system(s) or tactics to others.

  • Four (4) years of experience as an instructor in a Naval Training Environment, teaching material relevant to combat system maintenance, operation, employment, or tactics. This experience must include:

    • Writing learning objectives.

    • Preparing test items.

    • Evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction.

    • Counseling students on academic learning problems.

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience managing personnel, scheduling, and operations in a Navy or training environment.

  • Proven ability to lead teams in a geographically or operationally distributed environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience liaising with both military and civilian stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success managing and motivating teams to meet key performance indicators and project goals.

  • Technical Expertise and Leadership Competencies

  • Experience with program operations, including:

    • Human Resources.

    • Talent and performance management.

    • Security and compliance oversight.

    • Reporting and metrics tracking.

  • Education and Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (BA/BS) or equivalent military experience.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance (required).

  • U.S. Citizenship (required).

The likely salary range for this position is $124,093 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
