Explore your future and launch your career today.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems Strategic Deterrent Systems Division is seeking a Director of Programs 1 to co-lead the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division Software Factory team in supporting the Design, Development and Integration of Software across the Division. This position reports to the Director of the SDS Software Factory and will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville AL.\n\nPrimary role is providing leadership and technical expertise in all phases of software development and integration. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of requirements, architecture, design, software development, Agile methodology, DevOps, operating in a restricted access DoD program environment, program management skills, proven strategic planning and business execution capabilities, as well as ability to work collaboratively. The position will be a key leadership interfacing all Segments, IWO partners, Supplier Management leads and Customers in establishing the baseline program plans, validating the updates, follow-up and reporting. The selected candidate should be able to interact with and influence executive level management and communicate effectively with both oral and written presentations.\n\nThe Director of Programs 1 position has the following duties and responsibilities:\n\n * Accountable to the Sentinel Software Factory Director for cost and schedule performance of Software Factory work items (i.e. feature deliveries)\n * Responsible for capturing, defining and standing up a Sentinel Software Factory, including System Feature Value Stream identification and performance improvements\n * Responsible for the alignment of the Strategic IFC plans and DevOps pipeline to the program strategic plan\n * Responsible for developing the infrastructure to continuously monitor the performance of the Sentinel Software Factory\n * Responsible for communicating successes and opportunities to increase the speed and quality of feature delivery to our customers\n * Responsible for working closely with Chief Engineers and Chief Architects to shape Weapon System design objectives to align/facilitate continuous delivery of capability and related software features.\n * Responsible for working with the Digital Engineering (DE) team to develop requirements and ensure the software development environment and related infrastructure meets the Software Factory engineer\u2019s needs, including continuous build / deploy to developers, labs and virtual labs.\n * Responsible for leading (with the Sentinel Software Factory Director) a team that includes:\n * Agile MBSE software architecture development\n * Development Scrum Teams\n * Software Test and Software Integration Teams\n * DevOps Infrastructure Team (build/deploy, configuration management)\n * Software Information, Tooling and Data Analytics team \n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\\- Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\\- 401k \n\\- Educational Assistance \n\\- Life Insurance \n\\- Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\\- Paid Time Off \n\\- Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\\- Employee Discounts \n \nThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\n\nYou\u2019ll Bring These Qualifications: \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in a technical or business-related field and a minimum 10 years of related experience\n * Experience in a formal management/lead position\n * 3+ years experience with:\n * Management experience leading a technical and complex program effort.\n * Experience developing and administering budgets and standards of performance\n * Experience in developing and implementing technologies associated with production processes with efficient and sustainable implementation\n * U.S. Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance with investigation date/periodic review within last 5 years and ability to obtain program special access\n\n\n\nThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: \n\n * Preferred candidate will be a proven leader; problem solver; possess a strong work ethic; and have excellent communications and interpersonal skills required to work closely with teammates, stakeholders and both internal and external customers.\n * Familiarity with Northrop Grumman project execution, processes and procedures.\n * Knowledge and experience with IFC and Agile software development in a classified environment\n * Experience implementing Simulation and Emulators in support of Software Integration and Test\n * Experience with NG Real Time Component Framework\n * Extensive experience integrating Software and Hardware in Lab environments for large Aircraft and/or Spacecraft programs\n * Experience designing, building and implementing systems engineering and software factory metrics to track flow through a DevOps pipeline.\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $193,800.00 - $321,100.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
