Position Overview

The Uniformed Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining safety and security by monitoring access, screening visitors, and conducting patrols at assigned facilities. This role supports the overall safety operations by ensuring only authorized individuals enter the building and by identifying any potential risks or hazards. Guards are expected to remain alert, maintain accurate activity logs, and respond appropriately to incidents by notifying emergency services when necessary. The position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict site protocols throughout the shift.

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities

Enforce access control by checking identification for all individuals entering the facility
Screen visitors using handheld wands and inspect bags upon entry
Conduct patrols of the building perimeter to identify unauthorized personnel
Monitor designated areas, including conference and interview rooms
Record hourly activity updates in a daily logbook
Remain at assigned post in full uniform until relieved
Notify NYPD, FDNY, or EMS of any dangerous or emergency situations
Maintain professionalism and avoid use of personal electronic devices while on duty

Requirements

Must be 18+ years old (bring photo ID).
Printed copies of your resume.
Valid, active New York State Security Guard license.
F01 or F02 Certificate.
Must also be willing to obtain F03 and F04 certifications before hire.
1 year of security guard experience.
Valid Driver’s license.
High School Diploma or GED.
Under 21: Letter of Recommendation from a previous employer required.
Must be willing to travel to Brooklyn, New York for an interview if qualified and referred.
Must have physical Proof of Education, I9 Documents, and all active Certificates and Licenses.

Pay Range

USD $18.87 - USD $21.00 /Hr.
