Security Officer

Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional and dependable Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer to support security operations at a residential apartment community in Denver, Colorado. This position plays an important role in helping maintain a secure and welcoming environment for residents, guests, vendors, and property staff during overnight hours.
The ideal candidate is attentive, customer-focused, and capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This role includes routine patrols, access control responsibilities, incident documentation, and regular interaction with residents and visitors.

Position Details

• Location: Denver, CO 80238
• Employment Status: Full-Time
• Pay: Up to $23.50 per hour
• Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday: 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Primary Responsibilities

Community Security & Patrol

• Conduct routine patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and exterior grounds
• Monitor property conditions and identify potential safety or security concerns
• Maintain a visible presence to help discourage unauthorized activity and policy violations
• Inspect entrances, exits, gates, and other access points during patrol rounds
• Assist in protecting community assets, property, and facilities

Access Control & Property Oversight

• Monitor resident, visitor, contractor, and vendor access as required
• Verify authorization for entry into restricted or controlled areas
• Observe activity at entrances and common-use areas
• Support site-specific access procedures and community policies

Resident & Client Support

• Provide professional customer service to residents, visitors, and property management personnel
• Respond appropriately to routine questions, concerns, and non-emergency situations
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients and community stakeholders
• Communicate clearly and respectfully during all interactions

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
• Record observations, unusual occurrences, and security-related events in a timely manner
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel
• Maintain complete and professional written records throughout each shift

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to work overnight shifts on a consistent schedule
• Strong observation and situational awareness skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Professional verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in changing situations
• Comfortable working independently with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, residential communities, hospitality, customer service, or a related field
• Experience conducting patrols and monitoring access points
• Familiarity with incident reporting and documentation procedures
• Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities
