Security Officer

Security:

• Carry out safety and security procedures to maintain safe work environment for all staff.


• Conduct foot patrols of all buildings/parking lots throughout the shift and document these activities.


• Respond to all emergency situations on the hospital campus.


• Maintain a calm, professional, problem-solving demeanor at all times and deploy de-escalation techniques as needed.


• Maintain NYS Security Guard certification and complete de-escalation training.


• Utilize incident tracking systems to report any incidents. Request work orders through your supervisor.


• Enforce parking compliance based on current hospital policy and procedure.


• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security and Safety as the program develops.

Safety:

• Participate and play an active role in all drills related to Hazmat, codes, fire, active shooter, lock down, etc.


• Complete Incident Command System Training as assigned through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 courses.
