As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Laguna Hills, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role combines routine patrols, customer service, and communication while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, with a caring culture that puts people first and delivers through teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time / Graveyard shift 

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with visitor directions and/or general assistance, and support hospital protocols related to restricted areas, patient privacy, and after-hours access.
• Observe and report changes in activity, assist with de-escalation when appropriate, and support staff during routine operations, visitor concerns, and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
