Security Officer Housing Facility - Full Time

As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will support residents, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service while bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorization when required, and documenting security-related events, incidents, and/or resident interactions according to site procedures.
• Support a respectful environment by assisting with de-escalation efforts, communicating clearly with residents and staff, and reporting behavioral, environmental, and/or operational concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
