As a Security Officer Security Clearance Patrol Unit in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting conditions to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to confirm that entry procedures and credential requirements are followed according to site-specific protocols.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with site contacts, assisting with directions and information, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues as observed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
