Security Shift Supervisor

Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.

Hours: 32 hours per week

The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security operations and supporting security officers during the assigned shift. The ideal candidate will have previous security experience, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining a professional and secure environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, and support security officers during the assigned shift


• Help ensure all posts are properly staffed and officers follow assigned schedules


• Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible presence and routine patrols


• Monitor officer performance and ensure compliance with DSI policies, client requirements, and post orders


• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and operational concerns


• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public


• Complete incident reports, shift documentation, and other required records accurately and promptly


• Report staffing, performance, safety, and operational concerns to management


• Assist with training and coaching security officers as needed


• Participate in required training and comply with DSI safety policies and procedures


• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Previous security experience is required


• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred


• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills


• Professional, reliable, and dependable


• Ability to make sound decisions and respond appropriately during incidents


• Basic to intermediate computer skills


• Reliable transportation and a dependable means of communication


• Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, perform moderate lifting, and work in varying weather conditions


• Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, or Excel


• Experience using Genetec security software


• Previous experience supervising or leading security personnel
