Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Position in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while responding to site needs.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and/or designated access points by observing activity, verifying authorized entry, and reporting policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or operational issues.
• Support daily operations by completing reports, maintaining awareness of high-traffic areas, and assisting with security-related procedures involving deliveries, vehicle movement, and after-hours activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
