Security Officer - Visitor Services Desk

As a Security Officer Visitor Services Desk in Downers Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming presence at a professional location, helping to monitor access, assist visitors, and support security-related procedures with strong customer service and communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, using technology, and contributing through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach each day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the front desk.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Monitor access at the front desk, greet and direct visitors, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive presence and adherence to site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
