Security Supervisor

This position is responsible for the shift supervision and monitoring of security personnel engaged in the duty of providing a secure environment. These duties include, but are not limited to, the daily operations of security, and assist in the coordination of the integrity and proper functioning of all physical security systems during their assigned shifts. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Three to five years in a security role, law enforcement or military disciplines or equivalent training which might include criminal justice, homeland security, or law enforcement academy is preferred).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years of supervisory experience or progressively increased responsibility around supervisory-type duties.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Requires the ability to obtain, and maintain, appropriate state license/certifications for this position.
 Level II Noncommissioned Security Officer with the Texas Commission on Private Security within 60 days of hire
 Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
 Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
 Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: 
 Texas Security Officer Commission Level III
