Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Job description:

• Prepare month-end journal entries.


• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies monthly.


• Participate in the month and year-end financial close processes.


• Assist Accounting department with various activities, such as invoicing, AP entry, etc., as needed.


• Liaise with FP&A, location management, owners, etc. to execute the financial close, provide guidance, and work together to improve processes.


• Assist with financial statement preparation for internal management, regulatory agencies, and stockholders.


• Utilize various ERP and reporting software to view documents and account balances, run reports, analyze and utilize data for analytics.


• Efficiently complete Microsoft Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting, and analysis of data.


• Monitor GAAP compliance, other relevant regulations, and elevate issues and recommend solutions.


• Complete special projects, as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.


• 4+ years relevant professional experience required or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required competencies.


• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills


• Manage time efficiently in order to meet various deadlines.


• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a varied and changing scope of responsibilities under supervision.


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and various accounting software.
