Senior Accounting Manager

Position Summary:

The Senior Accounting Manager will play a critical role in the daily accounting operations of the College and operational decision-making. This role will ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting and provide effective management of accounting processes. Working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, the System Senior Accounting Manager will lead a team of four, managing priorities with attention to detail while ensuring the highest level of customer service across the College.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting personnel


• Coordination and oversight of the annual financial audit


• Completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure proper accounting and analysis


• Management of the college’s accounts payable and cash functions including all check runs and multiple cash accounts


• Oversight of state sales tax recording and filing


• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested


• Promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and service within the Finance organization

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required


• 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or related experience, with at least 3 years in a management role


• Excellent communication and management skills


• Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel


• Ability to work effectively in a flat organizational structure, building partnerships and influencing without heavy hierarchy

Salary: 

$115,000 – 125,000 per year
