Senior Assembler
Position is located at our Johnstown, PA facility
Full-time, Onsite
Daylight shift with option of 5, 6, or 7 am starting time/schedule.
Martin-Baker America's Senior Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non‑repetitive production assembly operations. The Senior Assembler serves as a resource to other team members in the supervisor's absence and works on assignments with moderate difficulty that require a high level of skill and expertise. Individuals in this role must work well with minimal supervision, build positive relationships with team members, and perform effectively in a high‑pressure environment.
Essential Responsibilities: Execute prioritized work in the absence of the department supervisor and accurately record all work performed using SAP transactions, reservations, USCP, and floor stock documentation.
Who should apply? Individuals with strong communication skills capable of delivering clear and accurate verbal and written information to supervisors and production employees.
Candidates should possess substantial technical ability, including the use of computers, interpreting complex blueprints and drawings, using hand and power tools, and operating pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. They should also be able to assemble components using adhesives and sealants, perform minor machine adjustments, and utilize inspection equipment.
Strong leadership qualities, effective task management, and demonstrated teamwork skills are essential for success in this role. Applicants should have at least seven years of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the physical ability to perform job duties such as standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Candidates with the following experience are well‑suited for this role: Extensive manufacturing experience (7+ years) with proven technical aptitude.
